Before the Knox Event, the Gladwell Initiative were the world’s leading experts on technological development. With state-of-the-art technology, the GI’s researchers were blazing the trail of innovation.
The Gladwell Initiative had many secretive sites across the globe at which different institutes performed their research on their respective fields; medicine, computing, weapons manufacturing and more.
The island you find yourself on now, Hashima, is located in Queen Charlotte Sound and is home to Gladwell’s Hashima Institute, an ammunition manufactory and depot as well as weapons testing ground only accessible by boat or bushplane. In the wake of the Knox Outbreak, you, along with a band of survivors composed of former Gladwell employees, have taken shelter as best as you have been able on the island.
However, it has been months since everything went to hell and supplies are running thin; you and this medley set of former Gladwell employees will have to make their way back into the heart of the island in order to survive and continue to eke out an existence.
